Re: Rotation Problem (Not a glitch but a problem)

In the AI section, use the Rotate command (found in the Parts menu.) Enter the ID of the piece that is the center of your fan, plus the speed, etc. All the pices attached to that piece will rotate with it, but parts that are not attached to it will not.

Re: battle series

Huh. It wasn't me. I'll come back to it sometime, though.

Just remember, difficulty level isn't the only worthy goal of level design; other good ones are high ratings and high replayability. Those both take a lot more practice than simply making a badass hardcore level, though.

Re: battle series

After fifteen tries I got close, but still haven't beaten it yet. I had it down to three rocket launchers, two tracking lasers, and a few single guns and spreaders. Doing it on the slow machine didn't actually help a whole lot. If I ever get that far, the core gun is going to seem easy compared to t...

Re: battle series

Now that I've looked at that level, I think I can beat it, but it'll probably take several tries even on the slow machine. It's got several lasers that track you, which is not a problem if you have room to move freely, but there are also several fixed lasers (not to mention all the fighters and spre...

Re: battle series

I'll have to give it a shot and see. That level is still undefeated, so maybe I can be the first, though it's not completely fair on that slow machine.

Re: battle series

It looks like a few other people besides just me have beaten it, but only three or four unless I'm doing my math wrong. Thanks for the congratulations. :) I have to admit I cheated a little, though: at work I have access to a machine with a 24-inch monitor and a wimpy video card. This slows the fram...

Re: battle series

I forgot that one was yours. That level was a little hard-core for my taste; I prefer fewer rapidshots flying around, especially if there are that few lives and that many fighters to deal with. I think I beat it eventually, back when you first posted it, but it took a lot of tries. Hope you don't ta...

Re: Flash Error

Zeke's right; everybody loses their temper sometimes and says something out of line. Way too many people either never realize what they've done, or never admit it.

Hope you get the bug worked out, and stick around!

Re: Weirdly low ratings

OK, yeah, I figured it was a simple average, but thanks for confirming that. I guess what this means is that my standards are radically different from most people's. I think most of the levels out there are either extremely overrated or else underrated. Occasionally I'll agree with a rating, or thin...

Weirdly low ratings

So, I played Layers and thought it was OK; even though it wasn't especially interesting or challenging, it did keep me moving. That's worth a fifty on my scale. Yet the average rating was only four, and my fifty only moved it to five. Did that many people really think that level was that bad, or is ...

Lost Memories - Nice art level

I just want to give a shout out to 1a31e3o1ka, the designer of Lost Memories . It's an art level and a bit of a puzzle; try replaying and destroying things in a different order. Leave the center alone, though, because that's where you see the results. This is a good idea, and somebody put a good bit...

Re: Worth A Replay

Scorpio is my favorite level of all time. It came out when I was first learning the game, and I remember playing it and playing it and playing it, each time getting a little closer to victory, until finally I defeated it. That was a good feeling. Of course later I discovered keyboard move and mouse ...
