The trick with those levels is circle around so that they form in a cloud behind you and either miss or time out as you concentrate on the parts. That said, there are some where not even that is possible.

I have decided to enter Four Corners into the competition with a slight modifcation. * 8 Weapons * 20 Parts I added another invincible circle and shrunk the original invincible cirlce to inside the radius of my "circle core". Now the last switch will destroy the new invincible circle inste...

Thats a cool blog, Redsatori. I feel honored to be the second level you reviewed in it. 8)

The blog is an excellent place for design discussion too.

Interesting, just noted that Centripetal Bond by MD fits the criteria for the competition:
  • * 14 Parts
    * 7 Weapons
Would be cool if MD entered the comp :o

This is an excellent idea, Redsatori. Curious how many parts I used in Four Corners.. *edit* appears I use 27 including weapons, so I could bump up the weapon count to 9 if I add a spread launcher. Decisions, decisions. I'll see if I can come up with a new level, though entering Four Corners into th...

Prevent edits? I think it would be enough to have it detect edits and reset the complete flag before they can save. :)

What controls do you use to play Zeta Flow?

In the control options (found by pressing p in game), there are four different aims with choice of keyboard or mouse move. Of the four aims available there are Auto, Expert, Keyboard, and Mouse with either Keyboard or Mouse move. Default seems to be Auto Aim with Mouse Move. Up until now I had only ...

I'm wondering whether or not to add one spread shot in the middle of Four Corners, what do you guys think? I made a poll in one of the other sections about control setups but I'm suspecting that most use the default controls of auto aim and mouse move. Played this way my level is very hard and the s...

Time for an update. There are many accomplished levels now that deserve to be show cased in this thread. http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/2311/kankrayi8.jpg This level, created by Cray is artistically very well done and makes good use of the editor and AI options available for visual interest. htt...

I'll give that a try, thanks Redsatori. Lets move our discussion of Pushing the Limits over to Redsatori's thread so that other people can find it all in one place. :lol: I just tried my level with mouse aim and keyboard movement. It took some getting used too but I almost never fail to win now, lol...

I will add a level showing what I meant with the pushing the limits first episode in just a moment. Thanks Redsatori, that made a whole lot more sense. I just played and the idea of "deathstar thermal port" was quite interesting. There was a level not too long ago that featured a satelite...

I've played my fair share of FPS games but I'm still too used to mouse move that I leave my ship in a bad place because I'm watching the mouse instead, lol. It'll take some practice but I can already see the benefits of mouse aim. I have some experimenting to do at any rate.

I actually still use auto aim. I should perhaps give keyboard move and mouse aim a try again. The first time I tried the advanced movement I didn't like the feel but that was a long time ago.
