meep140 - Don't get discouraged. otogi2 has been designing levels here for a long time, and has learned to create levels that are artistic and challenging.
Right now, most of your levels rely on twin rapid fire, and an excess of spreads or lasers.
Levels that use twin rapid fire or an excess of weapons are generally not well received. Take the time to play the levels that are highest rated, and they will give you ideas for what makes a good level that gets rated highly.
Good luck, and like I said, don't let ratings discourage you too much while you're learning here. Even the best designers have created some poorly rated levels.

This is what I like about the opus series. Some levels are challenging while others focus on a more artistic aspect of level creation. A few even have a ballance between dificulty and art that tells me we still have good designers on this game site.
