OK, someone managed to beat this, but I can't see how. What I *think* this is, is that someone took an indestructible part (probably a forcefield, but I can't tell) and expanded the size so much that the game engine has a hard time registering that you and it are actually occupying the same space. But then when it does register, it's as if you and all your bullets had hit the same wall all at once.
It's an interesting visual effect, and the level is worth playing once just to see it, even if you don't want to bother trying to figure out how it's done.
