It might be the game being to slow to react to the keys and so it fights it. Causing it to do that.

EDIT: How about a customizable spread gun?
example: Instead of having them explode in a circle shape, you could customize how the bullets fly. Like if you wanted to have it explode into a star shape or something.

I think it would be easier to have a separate color panel for them like the color panel to change the parts.
One for the actual part,
and one for the bullet color.

Suggestion: Change Projectile Color
It would be cool if you could change the colors of the projectiles/Lasers like you can to the actual parts. It would make things a whole lot more creative. Thanks for listening to my idea.
