About core/part HP

How are the core/part HP determined?
It seems to me that the amount of parts connected has some effect on the amount of hits the part can take before it's destroyed.
But is it really so? And by the way, as I have already suggested in another thread, custom HP would be cool :)

Each part starts with a predefined amount of hp (core starts with 1000) but then gains 300 more per "child" part. Custom HP could get annoying I think, the player would have no idea how long it would take to destroy a part (could take them 1 second or 1 hour) and also I think that it would further complicate the editor where as I would like to keep it as simple as possible.

Ok.
I was thinking of using it for making parts that can be destroyed with one hit.
Maybe you could add that as something like the "makeInvisible" option then (something like makeLowHP)?

Is there some limit on how much HP one part can gain?

unfortunately, it seems not.
If you have a massively massive thing, your core will take the 1 hour to destroy.
I actually really like the idea of custom part HP, perhaps within a limit.
