Is it possible to add music?
Maybe you could let users upload their own music?

I have been considering this. Two problems though:
1) User uploaded music: very hard to moderate, copyright issues, and massive harddrive and bandwidth requirements.
2) Music embedded in the game: all the cool music is copyright, the free stuff isn't very good, and i dont have a budget for buying some.

If anyone would be willing to make a variety of tracks for players to select from for their level in exchange for links/credit/promotion/etc then perhaps we can work something out.

May be a list of songs that one user can choose from on their menu only? you know, like a personal song list?

Hmm..how would that be different from opening up winamp and playing your own music? I'd like to see the level creator pick the music. For example, calm music to start with, then a trigger that puts on epic boss music at some point during the level.

Allowing level creators to upload their own music would be a bad idea because of copyright issues. The moment someone uploads a copyrighted song, MD is liable for aiding and abetting copyright infringement.

Still, it would be cool if we had some music. If MD got permission to use some good tracks, it would be really cool to be able to change music in response to an in-game trigger. Do any of you know composers or musicians looking for a little exposure and willing to let their stuff be in a game? Was that what you meant by a list of uploaded music, NARFNra?

The idea is cool but the copyright issues thats the problem but maybe its better if users can make their songs
